Ummmm... I'm pretty sure Nintendo's been saying from day 1 that 720p is the target for most of their 1st party games, including games that have been delayed repeatedly like Pikmin 3. And what exactly would upping the resolution of a 2D platform to 1080p accomplish? Aside from making all the jaggies even more apparent than before?
