The first half of GoW 2 is my favorite part of the series - it was mindblowing - after that, after the fight with that winged old man the game started to lose its drive, the puzzles started to become unintuitive and annoying, the fights repetitive.
Deus Ex (2000) - a game that pushes the boundaries of what the video game medium is capable of to a degree unmatched to this very day.
