The only reason there is a religion (any), is because people back when they were invented couldn't come up with a better way to explain our existence. They didn't have science, they couldn't explain anything, they couldn't prove anything.

In today's age, with numerous ways to prove all kinds of things, I don't see how the simple answer of 'something just made everything, for the fun of it', is in any way the most likely way to explain our existence. Let alone having to explain how that 'something' came into existence and gained self-concience itself in the first place. That said, I also don't believe mankind today has all the answers figured out, and we probably never will. For now, option 2 is by far the most likely, with a hint of option 3.

Yet with all that science they still can't disprove God exists or doesn't exist.

In a way you can. It takes logic and results from experiements with the brain's activity. Actually, its been done before. Children were told that there was a ghost that could understand them and they believed it. In a way you cant disprove the ghost exists or doesnt exist in the same way you cant God. Does god exist? It only exists as a fidget of peoples imagination.

Lets move on from it, it really isnt difficult to understand.

Now if you believe in God because you WANT to believe, even knowing he is very unlikely and illogical, i can understand. Its the hope that exists in all of us, cause its what would deliver us from the cruel and fleeting existances we are.

Well I'm sure that's how most adults think. When we die is it just eternal darkness void of anything and you just cease to exist or is their something more after this life? The day science can answers that question is likely never.
