I don't see how offering the OPTION for a subsidized model could hurt. If the only non-subsidized one is $500 and they're the only ones who charge for basic online play and app access then yeah it's gonna be a problem but if the non-subsidized model is as much as PS4's non-subsidized model then it couldn't hurt.
