Not a fan of piracy on systems that currently release and sell new games. It can kill the gaming market because depending on the amount of people who pirate games depending on how many actually purchase the titles. If there are titles released in Japan, we won't see those titles localized since usually they're niche titles that don't sell well to begin with, meaning they'll sell even worse.

The Dreamcast and the PSP ended up being the two easiest current gen systems to play pirated games and that ultimately made those consoles worse than they could have been. One thing to be noted is that even with the ease of piracy, the Japanese supported the consoles themselves rather than supporting piracy, while most western gamers would pirate if they know how and have the chance. Dreamcast still released games for years in Japan after being cancelled in other regions. PSP games, are still selling well in Japan.

For the thieves out there. Less piracy would mean you'd get more games that may or may not be better. Stop killing the industry. I dislike Nintendo as a company, but I still purchase their consoles so I can play the good exclusives that do come out. With Japanese localizations becoming the new niche in the west, piracy might completely kill any niche game support for the west like it eventually did for the PSP.
