Einsam_Delphin said: @sethnintendo: What's the definition of a "Sony fan." Is it just someone who likes and buys Sony games, cause if so then I am one, yet I am willing to get a Wii U once it gets games. |
I think he means sony fanboys, the kind that are too marrow minded to accept their are good games on other systems as well. Cuz I agree not all and probably most sony fans arent like that. Im a big supporter of both, currently own a PS3 and 3DS and plan on getting a Wii U once I can get it for $250 with a good game

There's actually a definitional difference between fan and fanboy?
And yeah same situation here, although I do have a Wii but it hasn't been sering much play lately outside of good ol Ecco the Dolphin here and there hehe.

Yea there is a difference between fan and fanboy. Fan = someone who likes a company, fanboy = someone who likes a company and purposely puts other companies down mainly to irritate the other fan base. I should have used fanboy in my original sentence but I don't like the word that much (just like how I don't like using hardcore and casual). You can get banned on VGC for calling someone a fanboy. However, there is nothing wrong with calling someone a fan.

I prefer the term "elitist." Leaves less personal interpretation and a stronger sense of what that person is about.

That seems to be a pretty good term. I might have to start using it. I like how Nintendo puts casual and intense when rating games. I wouldn't like voting for hardcore but I have no problem voting a game intense.
