Well the respect think is another story... they never reach the the quality level showed in the Nintendo plataform... they did three or four good games? Yes but Rare was known for make AAA amazing titles... not only good... so the games thinks they didn't do anything that remember the old Rare.

I can't disagree... I don't know what happen but Rare changed from a Big AAA developer to a good developer.

The expectations during their Nintendo days were also a lot lower. A game like Goldeneye or Banjo Kazooie isn't AAA by today's standards.

The games they did for MS platforms like Kameo and Perfect Dark Zero were high quality compared to what they did in the past, but expectations have changed so much. Kameo would have done great with a Nintendo audience, it would have even been a AAA game for the Wii. Perfect Dark Zero was lame because it wasn't at par with shooters of the time. But still technically one of the best shooters Rare ever created.

A lot of studios that made great games in the 90s have struggled to stay relevant. That's why many of them disappeared or changed to appeal to modern audiences.
