Nope. The reason for the Wii's massive sales is because it appealed to traditionally non-gamers and casual gamers with motion controls and both fitness and family games, which are two demographics the Wii U hasn't proven to appeal to. DS and 3DS aren't home consoles.

What you've shown me is attempts at appealing to them and not proof of it actually appealing to them. When families, old people etc. start eating up Nintendoland or Lego city in their masses you'll have a point.
That's like me showing you a picture of the PS Move to imply PS3 is big among casual gamers.
