I did think it was weird that people were holding out for E3 megatons when basically every game they could make has been announced and most studios accounted for.
So I guess this means "more doomed" by VGC standards, because if the huge amount of games they've promised already didn't satisfy gaming message boards then this news that that's all there is should disappoint many. On the other hand, reality hasn't changed at all since before this announcement and they do have a lot of potential system-selling games coming.
I do prefer this Nintendo Direct format to one long E3 presentation most of which is irrelevant marketing BS and which often is disappointing if the game you wanted wasn't mentioned because it would be a whole year before you'd possibly hear about it again.
