I actually thought the PC version had some upgraded models running everything in higher resolution with better AA.
The ingame graphics anyway. Cutscenses and Music i believe were downgraded.

Not the version I played over ten years ago ;) AA? When was that? :) No, the graphics were so crappy, it's hard to describe. Sound was terrible if you didn't own an aws32 (afair it was aws32). But the graphics? OMG. The psx-version used fmvs extensively to give some motion into the pre-rendered backgrounds. The fmvs were rendered background while the characters remained rendered as polys in foreground. On psx this was done smoothly, the drive spinned up before and you thought it was "realtime". On PC I heard my Teac cd-rom-drive spin up but it took forever to load the fmv, the game got a little bit stuck and then the *downscaled* fmv was played. Picture quality got so much worse when the fmv was played it's hard to describe. And people complain about nowadays pc-ports from consoles...
