The last pre-E3 Nintendo Direct was a great deal more impressive than their E3 showing. It wouldn't surprise me if in the not too distant future both Sony and Microsoft 'borrow' the idea of having streamed updates on software and hardware on a regular basis.
People really need to stop worrying about the fate of the Wii U, if anything people should be more concerned about the fates of the future current gen efforts from Sony and Microsoft. Those consoles aren't going to be cheap and we're still in the middle of a huge worldwide recession. I can see them both selling worse than the Wii U...but when that happens, how many people are going to harp on about Sony and Microsoft going third party..?
