Dengle, meanwhile, provided evidence to the effect that various clips of Nintendo Directs are more popular than various clips of actual Nintendo E3 keynotes.

Show me hits. Thats the only evidence.  

He did. He demonstrated that the Iwata w/Bananas clip outpaced any individual clip from Nintendo's E3 2011, or how well the presentation of X did. You've demonstrated only that Sony knows naming a video after a console that everyone knew was coming is a good way to get hits (and it is quite smart on their part, both the naming conventions and the naming of that video specifically)
