I read the title as "Adam Sandler" and I came in here saying "why the **** does his opinion matter?" I then realized that I'm just stupid.
But really, E3 has been awful, including Sony/Microsoft's conference, for literally the last 3 years. Nintendo was probably smart in changing their tactic.
