I'm sure Nintendo has something big to show or at least something kind of big. It could be a possibility they don't want to share the spotlight with Sony and Microsoft since all eyes will be on the two new consoles. So they would rather hold a separate conference to show off games, but it is also possible that they have nothing to show they perhaps could be a year away from releasing those big name games.
