But there's an obvious legal reason you can't marry a dog, it's the same reason you aren't allowed to fuck it.  Gay coupling doesn't fall in the same category.  If you don't allow someone to marry and love their consenting partner then yes that does mean you see them or atleast their relationship as lesser than you/yours.
