Wrong...the ram is 7x more powerful + the Amd graphics cards are much, much better. I don't want to get into this again but look up the Wii U specs and 360, and it basically edges out the 360 in RAM and graphics. Techwise the Wii U isn't next gen, its Nintendo's next gen, so really theres no reason to make excuses for them. People have already checked the specs.

You forget I've had an on-going comparison thread for well over a year now right?
RAM isn't everything sir. Its 5x or at best 6x total difference. Plus WiiU does tech PS360 cannot as well as being more powerful. So yeah... next-gen will be similar to PCs low/mid vs high/max settings, but the games should be there unless they all pull a EA. (who I think will come back in 2014)

Nope.
Wii U has 2 GB of Ram DDR3
PS3 has 8 GB of Ram DDR5
Both relinquish 1GB of ram for other processes. It's 7x. The graphics card is also a major part and good lord is it more powerful than the Wii U. Theres no way around this. The next gen consoles will run circles around the Wii U.

Please tell me what graphic card is inside the wii u because it hasn't been revealed yet. also nintendo never said wii u relinquishes 1 gb of ram, what was said is that the OS used 1gb wich is diffrent from saying the games can't use more than 1 gb of ram. also you're making up the 7 gb available for ps4 and the amount of ram it has for games is irrelevant when less than half will actually be necessary.

How many excuses do you guys have? Nintendo doesn't have to reveal shit about anything, the console launched and people have picked apart the system and revealed its not that powerful a long time ago. The system has been out since November. Give it a rest already.
|
all I remember is the console being open and nothing really discovered about the graphic card. and how many excuses do you have to try making wii u look bad?
|
I don't want to make the Wii U look bad, I was set to buy one until I saw the PS4 unveiling. It makes itself look bad with bad ports, when if it was supposed to be so powerful its ports would be closer to PC compared to the PS3 and 360 versions of certain games and not slightly better or slightly worse. A port is a port based on a consoles capabilities and scaling to fit just right. If the console was really that powerful it would've been pushed and scaled to be vastly better than the PS3/360. The PC is the peak...the consoles are the lowest end and the Wii U was just slightly above the current gen. Theres no mistakening it.
I've already played the Rayman demo, Ninja Gaiden 3 was ok and had more jaggies than the PS3/360 versions but was clearly the better version of the game in gameplay. Zombie U was a good starter game, but felt that way more could've been done for that title. Its like Ubisoft was just toying with the Wii until they make a sequel. I played Nintendoland with some friends and enjoyed the little minigames and stuff but that was about it. After the PS4 came out I was convinced I am waiting to buy the Wii U farther out in the game.

So the xbox 360 is only slightly more powerful than ps2 if we judge the first games, ports that were slightly superior or worse. then you're going to mention that kameo c#ap again and guess what genius: so far the only games built from 0 for wii u haven't been released or had low budget. but we had a glimpse of what the console can do with the monolith X wich was amazing. and by the way nfs most wanted was identical to the pc version on wii u (acording to the developers themselves), ins't that what you wanted? "the pc is the peak"
