I dont think it was, but they did mention it to be taken place in the world of Link to the Past (or around the time).

Because all the other Zelda games (except for the first and second one) were all named after important events/objects/characters o.o. It would be weird to focus on the same thing again :O.

They should name it according to what the storyline is focused on.
