Wanting the entire industry to crash because it's not catering to you is just sad.

I want a kick to their pants not a full blown crash. Seriously, I highly reccommend you watching that video I posted in reply to pezus's comment.

Some section of the industry need to grow up.

Watched it, he as an issue with their crappy marketing and the couple of subpar games he listed, ok.

Wanting companies to feel repercussions for anti-consumer activities (things the video didn't touch upon..) is fine, I do too. Salivating at the prospect of a gaming crash because you don't like EA is nonsensical.

Alright, well that's your opinion and I respect that. Just note that I don't want a crash due to EA, I want a crash in the western AAA industry in general and I want EA to be part of it.

EA is only a part of the bigger problem. Actually I'm willing to believe that all the crap that the publishers have been giving us this past gen, we're blaming it on EA because they show the most prominence while doing this, when in reality it's a general industry attitude towards the treatment of the medium.

Besides, if the last crash brought forth so many good things, I'm fairly sure this one will too.

Ok, so your issue isn't with EA, it's with Western AAA games. Predictable.

You don't like them (all??) so want all the companies making them to encounter serious financial stress and be forced to make games you do like, correct? And preferably on platforms of your choice?

Woah there no need to get so antsy.

No I do not like the hero-infused shooting waves of enemies FPSs and the GTAs. I feel that they only devalue gaming in general and enforce the stereotype of gaming saturated by dudebro swOgfags when that is obviously not the case. Gaming should not be reduced to such a level.

What really just upsets me particularly in the Western gaming industry is seeing games that could have been even greater having to be forced to copy Call of Duty elements to sell or having the boxart be generic white guy holding a gun. See Bioshock Infinite. (Just in case you think me of as a Japanophile or anything, there is only 1 thing that pisses me off more than this and that's Japanese industry treatment of girls/women in games which I find even worse than the Western portrayal. Dragon's Crown and whatnot, waifus, etc.)

At the moment the only Western AAA title that I find enjoyable is the Halo series (though even less after Halo 4), but that doesn't mean I hate Western games in general. Just the direction that this AAA mindset is forcing other games to become. Do play lot of League of Legends if that's considered AAA.

But, I do love the Western Indie community because of not sharing that mindset of "having to be a violence filled empowerment game". Hell I love Minecraft and what it's done to the industry.

Would I buy AAA western titles even if was on a Nintendo platform? If they are guilty of the above then no I would shun them. Do I want these companies that make these kind of games to suffer? Oh god yes, I want them to learn from their sufferings and adapt. I want them to BURN and hopefully come out humbled. Something Nintendo needs to do as well.

EDIT:And now I realize why I sound so hating of the West. My name is an inside joke and Lucina is a damn good character.
