I think this is a big mistake namely for a number of reasons. First. Nintendo relying on Nintendo Direct is like preaching to the converted. I've been on the fence about getting a Wii U since my Wii went so unused these past 6 years, I was hoping Nintendo would have brought their A Game to this years E3 to convince me to buy a console. But seems they don't care for my money.
2 they give up a lot of press for this. It's not just the gaming media that reports on E3, almost ever major publication does and with this being the first time Next-Gen consoles are going to be shown...its an even bigger mistake for Nintendo to sit this out. In a way Im happy Nintendo was abandoned by the causals....I always think hardware should be made with the Hardcore in mind and worry about casuals later. They're the late adopters its the early adopters that keep your console afloat

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.
Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi
