How will this effect Nintendo as a whole? Clearly there will be better communication between Japan and NoA, but what will this mean?

It could quite possibly may make things worse considering the different outlooks the Japanese have in regards to buisness compared to Americans.

Worse as in not moving - stagnant. Not inciting positive change could make things worse as there will still be that cultural barrier with no apparent changes on the way.
