I actually agree with this.
Super Mario World has been a consistently overrated game. I don't think it's all that special. Especially when there's a title of much higher quality on the same system; Yoshi's Island. The latter just beats Mario World in every way. I like New Super Mario Bros. U better too. I never put a lot of hours into World though, those hours back in the day went into Super Mario Bros. 3 on NES instead, also a much better game.
I just know you're going to do a thread like this on Ocarina of Time too, which I'm going to ignore because you can't speak truth in that
