Basically, I see it like this:
WHY should I pay for Netflix, when I can watch many of the same things for FREE on Youtube.
Well, the access is better, the quality is better, the reliability is better. Yes, many things you can (or could) watch for free on youtube, but it doesn't compare the good quality Microsoft Silverlight screamed Netflix.
I can't see why people don't like it, but nobody is forcing anyone to buy it. It is a new model - and other companies are bound to follow.
You can play games all you want on your Xbox 360 without it, but like paying taxes to keep the roads and freeways in good shape. If you want to get the most of something - and many extra cool apps, you need Xbox Live. It's like a 'expansion tax' you pay to get more out of your console.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned. Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon! |
