The Wii U Gamepad should only be an optional controller

Then the Wii U could be in truble then, but I'm just guessing at this point. It could have an audiences of appeal, it just haven't grab my atendtion yet. I feel awakward playing on the gamepad and most of the time, I never use the screen so it sort of feel pointless already.

A large part of that is on Nintendo, they really haven't put out enough games that really take advantage of the Gamepad, which unusual for them because normally, a number of their launch titles are built around the hardware features of their systems.

Personally, the best game to me still is Zombi U for taking advantage of the gamepad features but I haven't gotten to play either Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate or Lego City Undercover yet. But the the Gamepad has a boat load of potential besides inventory screens and offscreen play, Nintendo or some other developer just needs to use them much like it took a minute for developers to use the second screen of the DS properly.
