They are. Doesnt mean mature people and adults only play them.

Plot, character development, guns, simulated death are mature themes not suitable to children without parental discretion :).


Wrong. Mature themes and elements can be used superficially and immaturely.

Ripping an enemy's head in Gow Of War for example is a mature element but is used as nothing more than bait for 14 year olds.

They can be, but they can not be as well. Regardless of how mature a game may be, kids will always try to play it if it looks cool, regardless if they even grasp the mature elements.


They grasp it and if their sense of maturity isnt accelerated they will run with it when it comes to jokes. I've watched over kids for community service, and they tend to get out of hand if they cannot handle mature material.
