I replied to that post with "What would you recommend I use to judge game quality then? Plus whatever you use to judge I doubt anyone can claim Nintendo brought more great new IP to the Wii than Sony did to the PS3.". I am more than happy to look at other ways to judge their respective quality, but I would disagree that sales or popularity would be accurate measures. Is Angry Birds the best game of the generation? You can look at highest rated game, and see what that says. The highest rated game Nintendo made was 97, highest for Sony was 96, but is this enough to tip it towards Nintendo? Anyway, this is off the point, I was just challenging your "If we compare the quality of IPS between nintendo and sony, we all know who wins." and "Quality over qauntity and no doubt Nintendo has the qaulity" comments, as that is clearly very debatable. But look at the point of my post. I am showing how Sony is now producing comparable quality IP to Nintendo. Could anyone say that was true a generation ago? I was demonstrating the importance of new IP, and how for Nintendo to keep their record for "most quality games" they are going to have to create new IP as well. The fact that Nintendo even let it get debatable shows that they need to do more. |
You should really check your facts before. Ocarina of time -99. No biggie anyway
@ We are taking about qaulity of ips and not specific games. I really think you are missing the point when i was refering to qaulity IPS.
@second bold- i accept your premise.
