The only thing 3D is missing is content, which is taken of by Hollywood & Nintendo.

3D will really take off in 2014 because it will finally have the library of content needed as well as more ways to watch with Vudu currently having 3D streaming and Hulu Plus trying to set up their 3D streaming this year after failing to meet their set date of by the end of 2012. And Netflix has been trying to increase their Bandwidth by 4 times since 2011, but have more limitation on their budget for streaming for how they do things, but they have recently done 2 times more and used it for 1080p streaming.

Samsung & Apple have a Brand to be able to pull of selling their cell phones. Apple is clearly saving 3D as a great feature, just look at the iPad 3, it has the name The New iPad, which means there will most likely be a New iPad 2 follow by the New iPad 3D. Apple is all about mostly marketing, ever since after the release of the iPhone.

But Smartphones are the only bad area for 3D, because of lack if content. It got only 1 awesome 3D game, and 1 pre-install 3D movie, and no Netflix App and most of them got discontinued because they went to long without content.

As I said content is the only thing that has been missing for 3D in the past, but now the only thing that is missing is content is the 3D Smartphone department.

Plus over 95% of manufacture TVs in the world are 3D TVs these days.

And Apple is saving Glasses-free 3D for a big show off after they milk the less love features to be added on the next iPad & iPhone.

I still don't see what is going to be so different about the volume of content between now and march 2014.  A lot of people feel like these streaming sites have relatively sparse content as it is.  I don't see how the even smaller 3D library is going to make people want to buy a device with a small, low resolution screen and bad battery life.

That doesn't explain why they wouldn't have at least dabbled in 3D over the past four or so years.  If the demand is actually as feverish as you imply, then surely Samsung would like to get a leg up on Apple and release a 3D smartphone.  It's not like they don't have a ton of different models already.  Samsung is Apple's competitor, why would they sit on their laurels for the better part of a decade until Apple decides to make a 3D smartphone?  Also in this hypothetical future, why would people want to watch 3D content on a 3DS instead of an iPad 3D?

I very much doubt 3DTV's make up 95% of worldwide television manufacturing.

The fact that the iPhone has a fraction of the costumers it once did, while Nintendo Handhelds are gaining more customers then ever before, says it all.

Each year we have less 2D Movies and more 3D Movies. And the 3DS having better first 2 year sales then any other Home Console & Handheld shows that Smartphones/Tablets are just as powerless as PC have been finally proven to be against Home Consoles.

3D TVs also outsell HD TVs for 1st year sales, and same goes for 2nd year sales & 3rd sales & etc.

You realize saying falsehoods over and over doesn't make them true.

The iphone had it's biggest quarter ever for Oct-Dec 2012.  47.8 million.  More than the 3DS has done in 2 years.  You seem to be confused.  The iphone is bigger than ever, and Nintendo handhelds are a fraction of what they once were.

The 3DS has not had the best 2 year sales for any home console or handheld.  It is at least behind the Wii and DS.

I also don't know where you got this idea that people were saying the PC would kill consoles in the fifth and sixth generation.  If anything it has been the opposite with people saying consoles would kill PC's.
