I can show you loads of level headed regulars that said the 360 coulsnt possible sell more than 35mt ot 40m and that it would be dropped within 5 years and that the PS3 would overtake it years ago.

I'm afraid I can't. I joined the site in 2010, so I wasn't around. I saw over the last two years people mentioning that and providing links to such threads and posts. I did not bookmark them and have no idea how to look them up, but I did read see them (it was mostly users who are not around any more, but had a great number of posts).
Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I read somewhere that the whole B_E_L_I_E_V_E thing was created to counter the great number of "ps3 is doomed/has no games, will be discontinued" threads.

You would be accurate. And the whole believe thing got a lot of hate towards it and arguments such as "believe the console will fail LOL"
