I think it is as well. So this is the 3rd God of War game to top the indiviudal format charts in the USA within its first month (including the bundle). But without the bundle I think its probably 3rd behind Gears of War Judgement and God of War Ascension. So 2.5 million LT looks likely for God of War and 3 million if its bundled in the holiday season.

I really hope GOW:A can sell 3M to costumers.  It is a great game, in a great franchise that deserves great sales.    I know that most probably GOW3 should be around 6M already but, considering this is a prequel, and it was rated like crap on most sites 3M is a respectable mark.

God of War IV will sell at around 7.5 million considering God of War III sold around 6.2-6.3 million..



I actually think God of War: Ascension can sell between 3.5 - 4 million lifetime. It should have a nice little boost when TLoU demo goes live and hopefully there will be a PS3 bundle with GoW:A, TLoU & Beyond in time for the holidays this year. If the legs are half as good as God of War 3 is should reach my estimates, GoW 1 & 2 sold a lot years after next gen consoles released to hopefully GoW:A will do well too. And yes, God of War 4 will be bloody huge, if God of War 3 can sell about 6.25 million in 3 years with no mass bundling, quiet March release during a PS3 shortage and weak advertisement/marketing (compared to other AAA games) then imagine how well GoW4 will do if it is as good or better than GoW3 and Sony pulls their fingers out of their ass' and make a strong effort with it.

Many fake GoW4 videos have many millions of views on Youtube (most popular hasa whopping 7.4 million views!). Millions of people really want the game and if it has the acclaim & word of mouth of GoW3 + the bundling & advertisement of UC3 then it could grow the franchise massively and sell 7-8 million if the growth is comparable to GoW3. I hope all goes well, I predict GoW IV will be announced at E3 2015 (10 year anniversary) and hopefully have a holiday release for the first time for a mainline game in the franchise (it probably won't though, I expect a March 2016 release.
