1st of all they are online multiplayer fanatics. I mean PvP type games. PC cafes and the world's best internet connections.
They do however share the similar situations of subway commute, so there really is potential there. But selling a Japanese product in Korea is pretty hard given their history and current problems.
Seriously what they should be doing is partnering up with a domestic company like Samsung and have them carry something similar to virtual console on their phones. I mean they're doing the same in China by making those weird pre-installed systems.
