I've just finished Chapter 4. Good luck with that.

It's nothing special, it's basically three events rolled into one. Get temporary stat boosts, some experience and an item.

And is Donnel worth it?

Donnel is very nice to have before you can get master scrolls and second seals ect.   Because he levels so well stat wise, he ends up getting close or maxing all of his good stats by the time he gets to lvl 30.

Meanwhile you will have the rest of your team sitting there at lvl 20 with shitty stats, but no master seal or second seal to continue leveling.  Right now he is my strongest person in my army and he is only lvl 22 or something.  He even has better stats than Frederick does right now.  I am only at lvl 7 or something on this Lunatic playthrough and Donnel is the best character on my squad.  As soon as I can get a master seal though, then others can supass him, but right now everyone else is stuck at lvl 20 and ain't getting any stronger.
