How does the 3DS compare to the PSP, power wise?

Curious since the PSP was so much more powerful than the original DS, and while people seem happy to bash the Wii U for not being as powerful as PS4, I haven't heard the 3DS get similar flak for not being as powerful as Vita.

Handhelds almost never get multiplatform games so relative power really isn't that big of a deal.

Same could be said of Nintendo consoles these days... :P
Not trolling, but honestly, who buys a Nintendo system primarily for the third party multiplats? It's all about the first/second party exclusives.

Sometimes First/second party isn't enough.  I'd love to play Skyrim or Mass effect oN Wii two years back, but it didn't get either.  I don't expect lots of 3rd party from Wii U, but I guess it should be better than Wii.

If Nintendo release 30 good first party games in Wii U's life, then all will be forgiven.
