Okay, so you were tying Revelation to John, not the book of John. I understand. May I ask why you hold the Book of John in higher esteem than Revelation?

Just from basic research, there are 3 books dated around 60 CE - Mark, Matthew, Luke.

Then 30 years after that, John and Revelation around 90 CE. 

To me, it seems a bit strange to hold Matthew in the same regard as Mark/Matthew/Luke.

I hold John in highest esteem than Revelation, because the Book of John is a retelling of events that happened to John firsthand (a lot believe that John and Revelation was written earlier than 90AD). A lot of things in the book conincide with the other gospels.  These 4 books (matthew, mark, luke, and john) are essentially the foundation of the Christian faith, of course you'd hold them higher.
