I had an idea about a way to spice up Day 1; what do you think?
The mod sets a reasonably long time limit. When this deadline is reached, if no course of action has been voted in, the mod KILLS a player at random. The deadline can be extended by the usual 1/3 margin, but extension votes don't count until 24 hours before the deadline.
This would be intended to pressure on town and scum alike to push for some actual consensus instead of just letting the clock run out and in the case of this last game letting the plurality decide the lynch. The restriction on extension votes is so people don't just immediately and mindlessly extend the Day slightly with no resultant change in behavior (it would just extend the procrastination instead of giving some breathing room to crunch time).
