heres is my HTTPC specs laid out at the top of this forum post. You can get powerfull custom built under TV PCs which are very portable due to sizes.  It will be much cheaper than a laptop probably have a better GPU & CPU, you have the option to upgrade and theres nothing worse than having youropen laptop in front of your TV and playing games of it, the laptop screen is completely redundant.

That list does need updating.
Asus released a Geforce GTX 670 small-form factor card, granted it's stupidly expensive and probably costs as much as most HTPC's, but for no-holds barred performance it puts the Radeon 7750 to shame. :)
