You'd think they would have been using all that time to develop plenty of great first party Wii U games that could keep it going its first 6 months or so. But no, we still have ended up with a total drought during that time. Basically since Skyward Sword Nintendo has only released one other high profile home console title, and that's NSMB U. And that's a fine game and all, but it's certainly not revolutionary and something that used up all that game developing time. So what were they doing the last year and a half or so? Twiddling their thumbs? I know my Wii U will eventually be a worthwhile purchase, I mean just look at the 3DS now, but Nintendo has pretty much put the nail in the coffin for me supporting their systems at launch. I mean there's just no point. |
They were putting a ton of time into 3DS games, getting ready to launch the Wii U and working on future Wii U games. You do realize that most games take close to 2 years to complete....
I have noticed that a lot of the vocal people on the forums when it comes to the lack of Wii U games are from people who don't own one and most like never will. I own one along with all the other systems. The releases have been very slow, but not none existent. I've pretty much always had something to play on the Wii U when I'm in the mood. It's the big Nintendo heavy hitters that most are anxious for. I know that Nintendo will release them when the games are ready...I can wait.
Stop hating and start playing.
