Would PlayStation All Stars have been better with God of War type multiplayer?

Thing is, All Stars might be a good game but Sony's games lack in rememberable characters, obviously. Nintendo is Mario and Link (and their whole family ;)), MS has Master Chief, Sony has... yes, what do they have? The only thing constantly selling good since PSX and everyone knows is Gran Turismo.
