Two good observations. And people thought PS4 would be expensive with 8G GDDR5, and now durango suddenly gets full BC (add $50 to the BoM, and lots of bus contention to the performance...).

Very unlikely. The ppc cores are "behind" the mmu of the processor. Move units would be porgrammed with ppu code, the rest with AMD code.. a total mess like the PS3 coding which developers like so much....


This is what I thought when I read it but let us MS surprise with what they actually engineered ;) I still think they could do some non-ordinary stuff. Interesting times for techie-people! :)
