Haven't not been to Ethiopia I have no idea how authentic it is. I do go to a 'pocket community' called 'Little Ethiopia' where many people are from there. They have many restaurants, stores, community things, etc. I know they import most of their spices, but it could easily lose some fire on that long journey. They seem to like it. I would rate Taco Bell ‘Fire’ sauce as hot. A have a friend that loves hot spicy food. He will sit and snack on hot peanuts – where one will ruin my whole day it is so hot. Hot and Spicy Thai food is never hot enough for him. I want to get him some Ghost Peppers and see how he likes them. I like many root vegetables too, but I noticed you were missing Parsnips! How can you neglect Parsnips? What about Jerusalem Artichoke or Sunchoke? Yuka root? It is really good fried and dusted with cheese (had it at a Brazilian Restaurant). What are some other good roots to eat?

Bleh, not my thing. I don't remember the last time I had Parsnips, so I forget the taste, but as for that pther stuff, bleh.
I tried Celery Root once, I regretted it.
BTW Speaking of Taco Bell.....their meat kinda tastes like Ethiopean meat. Kinda. Real Ethiopean food tastes something between Taco Bell Meat and Local Ethiopean food, but we just don't have the same stringy meat that they do there. Anyway, ethiopean food is nice, but it's just not filling. It's too much meat and carbs for me.
