Is the multiplayer THAT good?

the multiplier is gut, different modes force you to either cooperate or compete which is great as some will tell you, the servers are not 100% reliable which is a downer, still, dont ever miss this game...

I'm missing it since I am broke right now. Perhaps in a month or two.
