Thanks. 70 MB isn't much though.

It's a lot for current gen where 252MB was available for games on PS3 initially iirc. 70MB is a huge boost over that.


You make a good point. In the next gen thats not going to fly, thats probably the train of thought I was in.

A similar proportional reduction of the Wii U OS would free up 580MB of RAM.


True, but it depends on how much really needs to be cut. 

The Wii U OS seems pretty bloated; unless its packed full of capabilities we don't know of yet, 1GB seems like overkill.
