With both companies being similar architecture (X86-64) and even Wii U using same visual tech... there is a very wide userbase anyone can approach with far less cross platform related costs.

I think 3rd parties will fare better this gen if they take advantage of all 4 possible platforms.


Yves is not talking abou the Wii U. It's not capable of doing what the others will be capable of next gen.

hint... there isn't one. They'll just do it at a higher resolution and framerate.

Games will have to be scaled down as well. The Wii U is only an incremental jump with basically a 1.5 X ram differential from the current gen. Next gen is four  times that if the Wii U and eight times that of the current gen. Obviously this means scale downs for levels, graphics, framrates and content. It will get even worse going towards the end of the gen where they get closer to using up the 8GB of ram.
