Nintendo is a company that things of the games and the fun first. They dont go around having tech wars with the other hardware providers. Games must evolve the tech on this business. Back then you wanted a new system because you couldnt make a sizeable 3D world. It was a joy to dream of such games and then see them delivered.
Nowadays were suppose to take that things like 60fps and a huge resolution will make my game more fun to play. No, it doesnt. Its ridiculous and its why gamers arent running out to buy new consoles (aside from early adopters).
I love the SEGA of old that doesnt exist anymore. Nintendo is a company that was paralel to the SEGA of old, even though never quite as good as SEGA for me. Nowadays, the excellent SEGA doesnt exist anymore. Sony is meh, still struggling to build a software image and Microsoft is outright disgusting. That picture makes Nintendo look alot better than they did in the past for me.
