Thing is using Windows 8 on a touchscreen really is actually quite nice, I mean sure I have my probook from 2010 but when I want to just sit on the couch and just watch something on youtube or browse the web I just pull out my surface. It does what it is intended to do being a tablet.
As for win8 on PC I remain neutral on that, I really like it but I dont really hate it either

Thats what I thought. Pretty sure I was communicating with friend on my LIVE account from my PC about 4 years ago... also queing up downloads etc. Now I also do it from the LIVE app on my 920.
I'm holding out for the second gen surface pro i think... let them iron out any issues. Now I have the nokia 920 I am a total convert. It beats the iphone to death.
I agree, I dont get the problem with Windows 8 either? Even from the main start screen you can just start typing for what you want and there it is. One guy said to me "takes me ages to find the old control panel"... I leaned over him and starting typing "contro" and there it was. He didnt even know you could do that. People dont take the time to learn. People hate change. Luddites!

My brother was just like that when he got his new Asus PC 5months ago, I just told him "wait till saturday and I will make your experience feel awesome" so he waited till saturday and I sat down with him for only 10min. In those 10min I just told him all those little things that he was requesting existed in another way it's not like they were extremely hard to find they were just a bit different.
Sure you can say "why did MS had to change them?" but I feel like I am seriously afraid of our future if nothing is every going to change. The thing that happens is the exact same thing that is happening to iOS, my sister and my brother who has been heavy Apple users are starting to ask questions to me on why the hell they have a phone looking like the phone they bought back in 2009.
If we don't change and learn new tricks and things how the hell are we supposed to even find new things?

I feel the same about iOS and previously I loved my iphone.
The revelation of live tiles couple with a solid and secure mobile OS is nothing short of life changing.
I converted a friend the other day by simply saying "why is it always 23 degrees and sunny on your phone?" and first he was "huh?" then he was "yeah, why is it!?"
The 920 with windows mobile is a joy. There was thread the other day asking people to post their phone home screen... I can't... it changes.

I had a 900 lasy year and I loved it but I kinda was drawn back to Android again not because I like it more than WP but simply because at the time I had some games and apps that were not available on WP. I'm just waiting on Nokia's newer phones to come out.
