I saw as many dudes than girls playing nintendogs, wich is why we talk about the children market that is little to no sexuated. There are no games that actually targeted effeciently the girls market.

Sony have their own tablets/smartphones that are directed to gamers (Simple design, almost retro, big computing performance VS bad real phone performance). Vita is meant to be buy as an accessory for the ps4 I think

This is exactly how good Nintendo is in that market.. you don't percieve them at aiming the girls market.. you don't see their ads and their games..  but they do.. they don't dumb games down for them, make them pink, or any shit like that.. they respect the female gamer.. and make games they want.. I work in marketing and Nintendo is really good with their products and advertising aimed at women.. they advertised Style Savvy: Trendsetters, Art Academy: Lessons for Everyone! AND New Super Mario Bros. 2 in their "Play as you are" campaign...  they had that blond girl from Glee in it..

the DS versions of Style Savy and Art Academy are around 2.5 million while the 3DS versions are around 400.000

If you know any female gamer with a pink ds, I want to meet her. Seriously all my friends wanted anything but that. Well, two of them got the pikachu one, but as a guy I want that one too

Edit : My lil sis has the pink one, but she's 6 years old and only play mario games on it. And she's a killer on dead or Alive 5 (PS3), wich is absolutely not, commercially speaking, aimed at the female market.

I dont know many female Core Gamers, but the ones I know play Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy, Fighting games and MMOs. And of the four I think of right now, none of them would wear or buy pink accessories, even if I paid them for it. F*, it seems sexist that way but all Female core gamers I know are tomboys xD
