Windows 8 will have 100x's more effect on MS stock than anything happening with Xbox.
Besides, I don't think most people care about the 'always on' rumours. Fact is, my laptops/phones/tablet/Wii (ironically not my wifi-less 360) are always connected to the internet now. Progressively most people's bluray players/TVs are as well. Do they have to be to work? No. But they are anyway. From an investor's perspective I'd think those people whining are the one's who can't afford internet/wifi and they therefore can't afford a new gaming system either.
