But agree with the rest of the points. They REALLY need it soon. Why don't they just go for it in April? Seems stupid to try and compete with Pokemon. |
I agree a price cut in April would be good, but it could be more effective cutting the price in September and advertizing the new price cut all holiday season. Then again, do they want to advertize both the PSV and PS4? Now makes more sense, get some of the hardcore in with Soul Sacrifice. Spread quality with word of mouth.
As for Audience, I still disagree. Yes a lot of PSV owners might be GTA fans, but it's not like GTA releasing will hurt sales. Most GTA fans aren't Handheld gamer fans, but I bet you a lot of people who might buy PSV for Killzone or bought a PSP for GTA are GTA fans
However if they really want a console experience on the go, and they are waiting on a price cut, they probably will still pick up a PSV after the hype settles from GTA V. If they aren't specifically waiting for a price cut, just a good game, a price cut around the time of Killzone will be a big push.
Basically people interested in the PSV, who are GTA V fans, and aware of Killzone for PSV releaseing on the same day as GTA V, either already have a PSV, or will likely get a PSV with Killzone one day regardless. They might not get it at the same time as GTA V, but they will likely pick it up during the holidays.
