of course it wouldnt have, remember before they showed the trailer and they teased the last of us with that weird video? everybody was like "another zombie game? who fucking cares?" and people just dismissed it, then when they showed the trailer and the words "naughty dog" showed up on the screen everybody just started having sex with each other from happiness and hype. its a good thing 
and im guessing those jump in pre-orders are due to the add during the walking dead finale
