Look, we all appreciate the effort you put into making that post but arguing this is just sad.
If you really want consolation just go into the Vita thread, plenty of friends there. Don't force the majority to listen to the rabblings of the vocal minority and suffer because of it.
I swear the state of the community these days...we know the Vita has good games, great ones even. But even if 3DS games may not appeal to you, they obviously do to the rest of us so instead of trying to justify your purchase by stating "I got the best available" let the lot of us enjoy OUR library. And maybe in the future we buy some Vitas, you're not helping advertise the system if we assume the fanbase is like this.

You do realize that the exact thing is happening but in reverse. The effect his post has on you is compounded by 20x for any Vita person by just reading this thread.

And look the thread's right. The 3DS won the gen, there's no other way to really put it. To state that one think it didn't because it's based on the "opinion" of the extremely smaller minority is pushing it.
Just accept the loss and move on.

I don't how that's relevant at all. Being that gaming preferences are largely subjective (and it's not like either has a super overwhelming library at their young age), you can't give it that in terms of games. Sales, yes. I don't think anyone expected Sony to ever beat Nintendo in the handheld department for sales.
