Sacred Stones is the only Fire Emblem without a sequel/prequel.  So its not impossible to think of a sequel.

With the whole children/marriage issue they could just a transfer data.  So that supports from the last game effect the sequel.  Radiant Dawn's data transfer made it so those with S supports got better support bonuses and if you capped a certian stat it in the original it rose their base stats.  Also for those that didn't play the original they could make Chrom to have just married the village girl and to leave everyone not married for the least butt hurt from fans for the sequel.

It might not be set that far into the future that the kids are "battle ready" anyhow.



I think a good idea would be to make the sequel all about the kids and their time.
