Yeah the guy is still a dick though. But anyway, as long as you're connected to X-Box Live? so if I wanted to borrow game I can't...sorry for not understanding.

I can't comment on what features are or aren't available in Xbox 8, but if the DRM is the same as currently available on the Xbox 360, then YES you would be able to borrow a game.  If the DRM is extended to retail disc games, then it could be yes or no.  It really depends on how it's implemented.  It would be possible for Microsoft to allow a game to work unimpeded for a number of days without confirmation from a licensing server, so a gamer could lend a friend a game and have it work unimpeded.  If you wanted to continue to use the game, you could purchase a full license.

Windows itself operates this way.  With an unauthorized license, Windows will function fully, but after x number of days will stop functioning.  Under this model you could even still have second-sales, though with limited value.  So instead of GameStop asking $55 on the resale of a new game, it may only be able to ask $10 or $5.00.

The first effort Microsoft will make is to make piracy extremely difficult or impossible.  Once that hole is closed, then they'll assess the situation.

As for what Adam Orth said, I'm sure if we took conversations you've had we could find something that makes you look like a dick too.  Especially if we take the conversation out of context.  People have no problems with always connected devices, because most people use them on a daily basis.

A cable box is probably one of the best examples of a device I can think of.  Go unplug your cable box (if you have one), then try to see what's on after you plug it back in.  In most cases you'll need between 5 minutes to a day for all the channel information to download (technically overnight - not 24 hours).  Even despite you shutting "off" the cable box it's on and connected.

I suspect that Xbox 8 will be similar.  With Skype being a major focus of the next console, that always online communication will be important.  Not necessarily to take a call, but you could be speaking withsome on your Windows 8 tablet, and "throw" the conversation to your Xbox console, bringing the console live and active.

I see. so it seems like the Xbox  will have a windows 8 interface. and basiclly when I borrow a game for a friend, it be like a trial?
